There are plenty of old VU meters on polish market, but often they are to ugly to use them in new devices. The biggest problem is in backgroud (its color, style, etc). Recetly I had to fix one of this, but I hadn\'t two exactly same looking. I decided to use Inkscape and redesign it. One evening and there it is. Please take it and leave the comment below.
